With 05 more Covid-19 +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 108 on Saturday

April 24: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Saturday at 9 PM. As per the latest data, 05 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 108 persons were found positive in the district on 24 April. Earlier, during at 6 PM, it was informed that 103 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has now gone up to 411.

As per the updated data, a total of 1,373 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done, out of which, a total of 79 persons were found positive, whereas 29 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. This was informed by Dr. Ibrahim Ali Ahmed, District Surveillance Officer (DSO), IDSP, Cachar on Saturday night. It is for the first time in 2021 that the number of active cases detected in a day crossed the 100-mark and reached 108. It needs mention here that on Friday, the total positive cases in the district was 92.

With this, the district tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 12,094. Further, a total of 11,645 patients were discharged in the district as of now.  At present, 22 patients are admitted at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH), 11 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital, 06 at MH, 09 at SM Dev Civil Hospital, whereas, 362 others are in home isolation. There are 411 active cases in Cachar district.
