Water level of Barak at Annapurna Ghat stands at 20.04 mt at 11 AM on Sunday, trend decreasing
May 15: Though due to incessant rainfall since the last few days, the water level of river Barak started to increase, however, since Sunday morning, there were some relief as River Barak at Annapurna Ghat, Silchar started to show a decreasing trend.
As per report received from Assam Water Resource Department, river Barak at Annapurna Ghat, Silchar at 11 AM on Sunday was flowing much above the danger level and was recorded at 20.04 metre. The danger level at this point is 19.83 metre. The water level was falling by 1 cm per hour. Prior to that, water level went up to 20.17 mts at 2 AM.
