Vaccine out of stock: No vaccination in Silchar on Thursday

ওয়েটুবরাক, ২১ জুলাই : বৃহস্পতিবারও শিলচর শহরের কোনও কেন্দ্রে কোভিড ভ্যাকসিন দেওয়া হবে না। আরবান ফ্যামিলি ওয়েলফেয়ার অফিসার ডা. রিমা পাটোয়া জানিয়েছেন, ভ্যাকসিনের স্টক ফুরিয়ে যাওয়ায় বুধবার শহরে ভ্যাকসিন দেওয়া হয়নি, বৃহস্পতিবারও দেওয়া হবে না। যদি ভ্যাকসিন গুয়াহাটি থেকে আসে তবে শুক্রবার ভ্যাকসিন দেওয়ার সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে।

July 21: There seems to be great disparity between the demand and supply of Covid-19 vaccine in Assam. Off and on, people are seem to wait in long queues in the hope of getting the jab, but at the end of the day many have to return without getting vaccinated due to the paucity in supply of the vaccines. Though Assam received 5 lakh plus doses of Covishield on Tuesday, yet those were yet to be distributed to the distrcts.

As such, several districts in the state have run out of their stock of Covid-19 vaccines. Informing this, Urban Welfare Officer, Silchar, Dr Rima Patao informed on Wednesday that there will not be any vaccination drive in Silchar on 22 July. She further added that the process of administering vaccines will resume after stocks are made available.
