Rollout of Orunodoi 2.0: CM chairs a video conference with DCs of all districts

way2barak, Dec.3: Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday chaired a video conference (VC) with Deputy Commissioners of all districts regarding the rollout of Orunodoi 2.0, paddy procurement and Amrit Sarovar scheme. During the VC, CM Assam issued directions for smooth implementation and operation of all the 3 missions which have immense capabilities of transforming the state on multiple fronts.

Earlier, during the Cabinet Meeting in Silchar on 29 November, decision was taken to roll out Orundoi 2.0. Informing about the cabinet decision, CM Dr Sarma informed:

  1. Within 31 March, 2023, 10,57,516 beneficiaries will be enrolled under Orunodoi scheme. At present 17 lakh people are enrolled under Orunodoi. With the new inclusion, the total number of Orunodoi beneficiaries in the state will be 27,77,000. The new process of inclusion of Orundoi beneficiaries will begin from January 2023. The annual outlay for Orunodoi will become 4,000 cr.
  2. The beneficiaries of Indira Miri Widow Pension scheme who got monthly pension of Rs.250 will also be enrolled under Orunodoi and will now get Rs.1,200 per month.
  3. Deen Dayal Dibyangan Jan Pension beneficiaries will also avail the Orunodoi scheme.
