Two summer special trains to operate from Guwahati

way2barak, April 25: Two pairs of special trains are operating from Guwahati to meet the escalating demand of passengers during summer rush. One special train will operate between Guwahati and Sambalpur in Odisha & other will operate between Guwahati and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra in Jammu & Kashmir. Both these trains will operate for 10 trips each in both directions. Both the special trains will consist of AC 3-tier, Sleeper Class & General Seating coaches for the convenience of passengers.

Accordingly, train no. 08351 (Sambalpur – Guwahati) Special departing from Sambalpur at 18:50 hours on every Monday from 22^nd of April till 24^th of June, 2024 to reach Guwahati at 01:20 hours on Wednesday. In return direction, train no. 08352 (Guwahati – Sambalpur) Special will depart from Guwahati at 08:00 hours on every Wednesday from 24^th of April till 26^th of June, 2024 to reach Sambalpur at 16:15 hours on the next day. During its both ways journey, the special train will run via Kamakhya, New Bongaigaon, New Alipurduar Jn., New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Malda Town, Bhattanagar, Kharagpur, Balasore, Kapilas Road, Angul, Kerejanga etc.

Also, train no. 04680 (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – Guwahati) Special will depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 21:30 hours on every Friday from 26^th of April till 28^th of June, 2024 to reach Guwahati at 19:10 hours on Sunday. In return direction, train no. 04679 (Guwahati – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra) Special will depart from Guwahati at 23:20 hours on every Monday from 29^th of April till 01^st of July, 2024 to reach Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 20:45 hours on Wednesday. During its both ways journey, the special train will run via Kamakhya, Goalpara Town, New Bongaigaon, New Cooch Behar, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Katihar,Barauni, Hajipur, Gorakhpur, Gonda, Bareilly, Saharanpur, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Pathankot Cantt, Jammu Tawi etc.

Another special train no. 06221/06222 (Mysuru – Muzaffarpur – Mysuru) is being operated between Mysuru and Muzaffarpur for 08 trips each on every Monday from Mysuru (w.e.f 15^th April, 2024) and on every Thursday from Muzaffarpur (w.e.f 18^th April, 2024). During its both way’s journey the train will have stoppages at Jolarpettai, Vijaywada Jn., Palasa, Malda Town, Kumedpur, Katihar, Barauni Jn. etc.
