Tundukandi E&D dyke breached in Cachar; around 100 families affected

June 19: On Sunday morning, the Tundukandi E&D dyke was breached because of heavy rush of water of river Barak. The river water started to enter the town. As a result, around 100 families were affected. The flood victims have been sent to Tundukandi LP School, 960 LP School and Satkorakandi High School.

Meanwhile, restoration work is going on at left bank of Rukni under Saptagram GP. The dyke at Jhanjharbali under Saptagram GP has been restored.
