Trio from UP held after they went to join BSF Masimpur with fake appointment letters

Dec. 30: In a dramatic sequence, three persons got caught during their attempt to join service in BSF at Masimpur. The trio who all are residents of Uttar Pradesh have been handed over by the BSF to the police. The trio were identified as Amit Kumar, Chandan Singh and Sahil Paswan. With fake appointment letters, they went to report for duty at the BSF headquarters in Masimpur, Cachar.

As per police sources, the trio confessed that they had procured the appointment letters in lieu of money. However, when BSF personnel at Masimpur detected that the appointment letters were fake, they handed over them to the local police. The fake appointment letters mentioned that they were appointed in the posts of BSF constable and should report to SHQ BSF Silchar on or before 7 January, 2022 and begin general training.

Police further informed that during interrogation, the trio revealed that they had been victims of fake recruitment. As they were job seekers so they came in contact with a person who assured them job in lieu of cash. They also informed that once they were sent the appointment letters to their home,they made the payment. The trio also claimed that they were fooled and did not know that the appointment letters were fake.
