Transformative impact : Cachar poised to lead in 4th good governance week
way2barak, December 17:—-Cachar district is gearing up to host the 4th Good Governance Week (GGW) from December 19 to 24, 2024, under the ambitious theme, “Prashashan Gaon Ki Ore” (Administration to Villages). Spearheaded by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India, this nationwide campaign is set to bring governance closer to the people, promoting transparency, efficiency, and citizen-centric administration. The initiative aims to create a transformative impact by enhancing service delivery and ensuring effective public grievance redressal across the region.
With an innovative structure that includes a preparatory phase from December 11 to 18 and an implementation phase from December 19 to 24, the campaign sets the stage for a week of robust administrative action. The preparatory phase focuses on groundwork activities like mapping districts on the campaign portal and setting ambitious goals for grievance resolution. Once this foundation is laid, the implementation phase will roll out an array of initiatives, including special grievance redressal camps in development blocks, revenue circles, and Gaon Panchayats. Online platforms like CPGRAMS and state portals will also play a vital role in swiftly addressing citizen concerns and expediting service applications.
One of the highlights of the event will be the dissemination workshop on December 23, where best practices and success stories in governance will be showcased, fostering collaboration and innovation among stakeholders. By documenting these achievements on the campaign portal, Cachar aims to create a repository of insights that can inspire similar efforts across the country.
Meanwhile, issuing a press note here on tuesday, Cachar district commissioner, Mridul Yadav has extended a call to action, urging all stakeholders to actively participate and contribute to making “Sushasan Saptah Prashashan Gaon Ki Ore” a landmark event. This collaborative effort underscores the district’s commitment to improving the quality of governance, making it more inclusive, transparent, and responsive to the needs of its citizens.
It is important to note that as Cachar district steps into the spotlight for the 4th Good Governance Week, it is poised to set a benchmark in administrative excellence. By embracing innovation, empowering citizens, and fostering accountability, the campaign represents a significant stride towards building a governance framework that truly reflects the aspirations of the people.
