Training for poll parties from 18 March at Narshing & Cachar Schools, Silchar

March 15: The Training and Awareness Cell for Parliamentary Election, 2019 of Cachar district has now come up with the first round of training schedule for the Polling personnel (Presiding Officers & 1st Polling Officers) in connection with the Lok Sabha Election. Cachar district will go for polls on 18 April, 2019. The result of the election will be declared on 23 May, 2019.

In an order issued on 15 March, Rajib Roy, ACS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Cachar and in-charge Training and Awareness Cell, Parliamentary Election, 2019, notified that the first round of training for the Polling personnel will be held on 18-03-2019, 19-03-2019, 20-03-2019 & 23-03-2019. The said training will be imparted in the days mentioned above in two sessions. The morning session training will begin at 10 AM and continue till1 PM, whereas the afternoon session will start at 2 PM and end at 5 PM.

In this connection, a detailed training schedule has been prepared by the EVM/VVPAT Training & Awareness Cell of Cachar district, wherein Master Trainers (Assembly Level Trainers-ALTs) will impart training in EVM/VVPAT and poll procedure. Two training venues were selected for this purpose : Narshing H.S. School, Silchar and Cachar High School, Silchar. At Narshing HS School, training will be imparted in 11 rooms whereas, at Cachar High School, 10 rooms were earmarked.

In every room of both the schools, there will be two sets of Master Trainers: one will give training on EVM/VVPAT and the other team will impart training on the poll procedure. Appointment letters will be issued to the Presiding Officers and other polling staff shortly.
