সড়ক সংস্কারের জন্য ইটখোলা-ঘনিয়ালা সড়কে যান চলাচল বন্ধ

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ১৩ আগস্ট : পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়ন কাজের স্বার্থে ইটখোলা তেমাথা থেকে ঘনিয়ালা পর্যন্ত সড়কে সব ধরনের যান চলাচল বৃহস্পতিবার থেকে পরবর্তী নির্দেশ না দেওয়া পর্যন্ত বন্ধ থাকবে বলে জনিয়েছে লোক নির্মাণ (সড়ক) বিভাগ। শিলচর ও উধারবন্দ টেরিটোরিয়াল রোড ডিভিশনের নির্বাহী বাস্তুকার অনিরুদ্ধ নাগ এক সরকারি বিজ্ঞপ্তির মাধ্যমে এ তথ্য জানিয়েছেন। শিলচর ডেভেলপমেন্ট কমপ্লেক্স সংলগ্ন এলাকায় ২x২ বক্স সেল কালভার্ট নির্মাণের জন্য এই সিদ্ধান্ত গৃহীত হয়েছে।

যানজট এড়াতে এবং যাত্রীদের সুবিধার্থে প্রশাসন জানিয়েছে, এই সময়ে ইটখোলা–মালুগ্রাম সড়কটি বিকল্প পথ হিসেবে ব্যবহার করা যাবে। গাড়ি চালক ও পথচারীদের যাতায়াতের আগে পরিকল্পনা করার অনুরোধ জানানো হয়েছে। লোকনির্মাণ সড়ক কর্তৃপক্ষ সাধারণ মানুষের সহযোগিতা কামনা করে জানিয়েছে, কাজ সম্পূর্ণ হলে নতুন কালভার্ট সড়ক সংযোগ উন্নত করার পাশাপাশি বৃষ্টির জল নিষ্কাশন ব্যবস্থাকেও কার্যকরভাবে শক্তিশালী করবে।

way2barak, August 13 : In a move to facilitate ongoing infrastructure work, the Public Works (Roads) Department has announced the closure of the Itkhola tri-junction to Goniwala stretch for all types of vehicular movement from Thursday until further notice. The decision, conveyed through a recent notification by Executive Engineer Aniruddha Nag of the Silchar & Udharbond Territorial Road Division, comes as part of the construction of a 2×2 box cell culvert near the Silchar Development Complex.

Authorities have urged commuters to plan their travel accordingly, as the closure is expected to cause significant changes to regular traffic patterns. To ease congestion, vehicles will be diverted through the Itkhola–Malugram route, which will serve as the designated alternative road during the construction period.

The PWRD department has appealed to the public for cooperation and patience, assuring that the culvert project will enhance road connectivity and improve drainage infrastructure once completed.
