Traffic congestion in Silchar; BJP delegation meets SP Cachar, urges for a viable solution

April 19: Traffic congestion has now become one of the marked features of Silchar town. Everyday long queue of vehicles could be noticed in almost all the major streets of the town. Even lanes and by-lanes witness vehicular traffic. On Tuesday, a delegation of Cachar district BJP met Superintendent of Police, Cachar, Ramdeep Kaur in her office and discussed at length about the issue of traffic jam in Silchar town.

The BJP delegation was led by its district President Bimalendu Roy, who was accompanied by senior leader Nityabhushan Dey, Vice President Amio Kanti Das, General Secretary Jhalak Chakraborty among others. At the end of the discussion, BJP leaders informed that they had a fruitful discussion with the Police Super and were hopeful of a positive outcome for management of traffic in the town.
