Trade license no more required for doing business in GP areas: CM Assam

Feb. 12: In an important announcement, Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “”From tomorrow we amend that whoever wants to have business in the panchayat area except for wine licence and wine bar, they do not need to take any trade licence and start of their own,” 

Addressing the media on Saturday, CM Sarma said that in a bid to reduce the compliance burden from every department so that people do not face any trouble, the government decided on setting aside the requirement of a trade license in rural areas.
