মৃদুল হোড় স্মৃতি ট্রফি জিতল টাউন ক্লাব। শনিবার বিকেলে তারা হারায় তারাপুর এসি-কে। ২-১ গোলে। ফাইনাল উপলক্ষে আজ শিলচর সতীন্দ্রমোহন দেব স্টেডিয়ামে ভালো দর্শক সমাগম ঘটে। টাউন ক্লাবের খেলোয়াড়রা এই সাফল্যের জন্য মূলত তাঁদের কোচ বাবু সিংহকে কৃতজ্ঞতা জানান। তাঁরই পরামর্শে যথার্থ দল গঠন হয়েছে বলে দাবি করছেন একাংশ ক্রীড়ামোদী জনগণ।

খেলাশেষে ছিল সংক্ষিপ্ত পুরস্কার বিতরণী পর্ব। তাতে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন প্রাক্তন ক্রীড়া ও যুব কল্যাণ মন্ত্রী অজিত সিংহ। ছিলেন জেলা ক্রীড়া সংস্থার সভাপতি বাবুল হোড়, সাধারণ সম্পাদক সুবিমল ধর, সুজন দত্ত প্রমুখ।

Town Club won the Mridul Hore Memorial Prize Money Football Tournament. On Saturday evening Town Club defeated Tarapur AC by 2-1 goals. Many spectators gathered at Satindra Mohan Deb, Silchar to watch the final match. The players of Town Club expressed thanks to their coach Babu Singha for the spectacular win. Even a section of the sport lovers were of the opinion that it was due to the proper selection of the team which led to the victory of Town Club.

After the end of the match, a brief prize distribution ceremony was held. The chief guest of the prize distribution ceremony was former Sports & Youth Welfare Minister, Ajit Singh. Also present during the occasion were, DSA President Babul Hore, its General Secretary Subimal Dhar, Sujan Dutta and others.
