Tinsukia Intercity Express Collides with Freight Vehicle on Makum Road

way2barak, March 28: A major accident occurred today in Tinsukia when the Tinsukia Intercity Express collided with a freight vehicle near the Assam Oil Pump on Makum Road. The collision took place on the railway line entering Changmai village.
The vehicle, bearing registration number AS 01 NC 1884, was transporting household paint when it was struck due to the absence of a proper railway crossing. Reports suggest the driver was unaware of the oncoming train.
Fortunately, he managed to escape without any injuries, even though the vehicle was thrown nearly 50 feet from the tracks.
The accident also affected two other vehicles that were waiting nearby. Railway Police arrived at the scene promptly and have launched an investigation.
