Those violating norms of home quarantine will be imprisoned upto 6 months

May 14: “Those who have been advised home quarantine are requested to follow the norms or else may undergo upto 6 months imprisonment.” This was the strict message conveyed by Tripura Chief Minister, Biplob Kumar Deb in a tweet on Thursday. The Chief Minister also requested all citizens to keep vigil and be alert. Mr. Deb reiterated, “Together we shall fight this pandemic.”

While tweeting an information, the Chief Minister of Tripura wrote, “Total 680 persons including 251 Karnataka returnees have undergone #COVID19 test today and all reports are negative.” In the same tweet, he further mentioned a word of caution to those who were kept in home quarantine. He urged them to obey the rules of home quarantine. If anybody is found to violate such norms, than that person will be put behind the bars for upto a period of six months, tweeted the Chief Minister.
