Those from outside Assam will no more be considered for appointment as Asstt Professor in colleges

Feb. 10: In an order issued by the Higher Education Department, Government of Assam on 1 February, 2022, it was stated that henceforth no persons from outside the state will be considered for appointment as Assistant Professors in the provincialised colleges of Assam.

The order stated, “The Government of Assam in Higher Education Department regret to consider the proposal for appointment of Assistant Professor in provincialised colleges who are from outside the state.” On the basis of this order, Director of Higher Education (DHE) Assam, issued a letter to the Principals of provincialied colleges of the state on 10 February, 2022 and asked them to act by the order issued by the Higher Education Department.
