Heavy thundersquall to lash in Barak Valley & Dima Hasao

April 15: Amid the outbreak of coronavirus, heavy storm lashed out in Guwahati and its surroundings on Wednesday afternoon. Meanwhile, the Regional Weather Forecast Centre in Guwahati in its weather forecast bulletin has stated that there will be thundersquall accompanied with hail and light to moderate spell of rainfall in the afternoon. This will likely to affect the districts of Cachar, Karimganj, Hailakandi and Dima Hasao on Wednesday noon.

Meanwhile, after a huge storm that swept across the three districts of Barak Valley in the afternoon, power services were affected in many parts. Power supply was snapped in Silchar town and its vicinity. Similar situation was also reported from Hailakandi and Karimganj.
