₹1032.49 cr spent on COVID-19 management in Assam

Dec. 30: In a written reply, Health Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma stated during the winter session of Assam Assembly on Tuesday that a total amount of ₹1032.49 cr spent on COVID-19 management in the state as of now. The amount was spent by the state government and the National Health Mission (NHM).

The NHM released Rs 172 crore for various expenditures on COVID-19 related testing. Further,  an amount of Rs 76.20 crore  was spent for purchase of life-saving drugs and another Rs 47 crore was spent on infrastructure equipment.

Rs 513.61 crore was given to various districts for expenditure on COVID-19 related infrastructure, activities and management. The medical colleges were further given an amount of Rs 4.15 crore.
