Student of Class XII of Holy Cross School goes missing, traced in Lumding
Oct. 29: Shibashish Deb Purkayastha, a student of Class XII of Holy Cross HS School, Silchar went missing on Friday. He is the son of Animesh Deb Purkayastha and Sharmistha Deb Purkayastha. In this connection, his mother Sharmistha Deb Purkayastha lodged an FIR at Rangirkhari Town Out Post. As per the FIR, her son Shibashish Deb Purkayastha, who is a student of HS Second Year went to school (Holy Cross) for appearing in the exam. However, she stated that he has not returned back home and could not be traced.
Taking to her Facebook page, Sharmistha Deb Purkayastha wrote, “Shibashish Deb Purkayastha didn’t come back home after giving exam’s from School. He’s from Holy Cross School. If anybody see him please inform in this number . 9401810685/ 9957286716.” However, as per sources, Shibashish did not appear in the exam at Holy Cross on Friday.
His mother further informed that though she tried to call him several times, but his mobile was switched off. He was wearing the school uniform. He hails from Link Road. Lane No.15, Silchar.
Meanwhile, sources revealed that he has been spotted and traced by Railway Police Force (RPF) at Lumding Railway Station in the late afternoon on Friday. He reached there boarding a train from Silchar. The boy’s parents were informed about this and they have in the meantime already started for Lumding accompanied by a team of Cachar Police. More details about his recovery is awaited.
