Himanta justified UDF MLA’s arrest

way2barak, April 29 : Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has justified the arrest of AIUDF MLA Aminul Islam, citing the legislator’s alleged statements favouring Pakistan.

Speaking to the media, on arresting those who issued statements in favour of Pakistan, the Assam chief minister said, “I will do this again. I will take any action against such people.”

Chief minister Sarma had shared comprehensive details about the arrests and promised firm action against anyone found supporting or advocating for Pakistan regarding the recent terrorist incident in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
