State govt employees in education dept won’t be allowed to apply for any other job in same grade

Dec. 29: The Education Department, Govt. of Assam has notified that any Government employee who has been selected and appointed for any State Government job under Education Department (both teaching and non-  teaching) will not be allowed to apply for any other State level Govt. job in the same position/ Grade upto a maximum period of 3 years.

The Office Memorandum (OM) further stated that in case it is detected at any stage that any such state government employee has violated this directive, then appropriate departmental action will he taken against the employee concerned. This new OM supersedes the earlier OM communicated vide Memo No. AHE. 262/2016, dated 25 June, 2016.

The new OM was issued by FH Choudhury, Additional Secretary to the Govt of Assam, Secondary Education Department on 15 December, 2021.
