Star-studded Bollywood descends in Guwahati at 65th Filmfare Awards
February 16: It was a star-studded night in Guwahati as Bollywood celebrities stunned the red carpet of the 65th Filmfare Awards 2020. The biggest and brightest stars of Bollywood gathered under one roof on 15 February for the most celebrated awards show. Various A-lister actors, producers and singers were present at the event. The venue for the 65th Filmfare Awards was the Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati, Assam. The awards will be aired on Colors channel on Sunday evening.
Filmmaker Ramesh Sippy, who has given Bollywood films like ‘Sholay’, ‘Shaan’ and others was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 65th Amazon Filmfare Awards. He was presented the award by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and the CM of Assam.
Bollywood actor Govinda too attended the prestigious award in Guwahati with his wife Sunita and daughter Tina Ahuja. Govinda was also felicitated with an award for Excellence in cinema. While the talented actor turned up in a velvet black outfit, his daughter looked mesmerising in a white gown. Govinda’s wife Sunita too made a lot of heads turn with her multi-coloured saree.
The grandest stage was hosted by Awesome Assam in the beautiful city of Guwahati for the first time. While Zoya Akhtar won the Best Director Award for ‘Gully Boy’, her film went on to win the most number of awards on the grandest stage of all. Several B-town stars like Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Kartik Aaryan, Ayushmann Khurrana and others gave scintillating performances at the 65th Amazon Filmfare Awards 2020.
