Software devised by NHAI to track delays in file processing
Jan. 3: In a significant move, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will now take the help of a software to detect how much time one particular official takes in disposing of any file. The move will held in eradicating red-tapism and ensuring transparency. This was said by Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways.
The minister said, “Work should happen timely, corruption-free, in a time-bound manner and efficiently. Those who do not take timely decisions will be tracked.” Gadkari said that stern action will be taken against such erring officials. NHAI in June last year had announced introducing Data Lake software to forecast the delays, likely disputes and expedite decision making.
