Silver Jubilee celebration of Daffodils School started amidst pomp & splendour

MArch 30: The Silver Jubilee Celebration (2019-20) of Daffodils School, Silchar, kick started on 30 March admist pomp and splendour. In this connection, a Flower-show competition was organised in the school campus. The function was synchronised with a mini spring festival which added glamour and created an aesthetic ambience.

Renouned educationist, Dr. Tapash Shankar Dutta was the chief guest of the occasion. Sumitra Dutta, Bhabani Chakraborty and Chandana Purkayastha adorned the programme as guests of honour. The august gathering was addressed by the Principal of Daffodils School Subrata Dey, Chief guest Dr. Tapash Shankar Dutta and Sumitra Dutta.

Speaking during the occasion, Subrata Dey, the Principal upholded the history of the school since its very foundation. He also said that a year-long activities will be held as a part of the Silver Jubilee Celebration. The celebration will come to an end with a mega closing ceremony on 31January next year.

Former students of the school, parents & guardians, distinguished citizens of the locality along with teachers and staff of the neighbouring schools also attended the function. The members of the Daffodils Educational Trust, and the school committee were also present in the function . Rich tributes were paid to Late Nirmalendu Dey, the founder of the school.

It needs mention here that in connection with the Silver Jubilee Celebration, an inter-school Sit & Draw competition will be organised on 31 March at Daffodils School at 10 AM. The Sit & Draw Cometition has been divided into 4 groups: Group A- Nursery to Class I, Group B- Class II to IV, Group C- Class V to VII and Group D- Class VIII to X.
