The moment the state government sends a letter as regards the land for its construction to the centre, the project will see the light of the day. This is in the final stage. Yesterday also, I had a talk with the Chief Minister of Assam who has gone to Hrishikesh. He assured that within the next few days, all paper works in this connection will be done and necessary payment for land will also be made.”
“I am hopeful that Silchar will soon have a new international airport from where flights will go to foreign countries and we will have a direct contact with different countries of the world,” added Dr Roy.
