Bihu to be an elective subject in HS curriculum from next academic session in Assam

June 19: Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) will now offer Bihu as an elective subject in their Higher Secondary (HS) curriculum from the next academic session. Jaykanta Gandhia, Khagen Gogoi and Ismail Hossain have designed the curriculum for this course. The elective subject ‘Bihu’ has been selected as an elective subject by AHSEC in order to spread awareness among the students about the rich heritage and culture of Assam.
