Workaholic Himanta Biswa Sarma gets cured

June 16: Assam’s COVID-19 Captain, Health Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma is now cured. The workaholic minister all of a sudden met with extreme stomach pain on 14 June. It was then that the doctors at Gauhati Medical College & Hospital found that the pain was caused due to a kidney stone and advised him to take rest. On the advice of the doctors, he was at home on Monday. He was taking saline and injections to overcome the pain. But despite his illness, he was doing official work from his residence. He kept track on the corona situation from his home and was in touch with the health officials of the state. In a picture, the minister could be seen working with saline being injected in one of his hands.

Social media was flooded with messages wishing him quick recovery. Many suggested homeopathic and even ayurvedic medicines. A twitteratti wrote, “You have worked hard and fought this battle against Corona as a great warrior. Rest a while, drink loads of water and be fit to fight for another day… Wish you all the best!!!.”
