Sajalendu Daslaskar appointed as President of GC College Governing Body

way2barak, Sept.11: Retired Head of the Department of Mathematics of Cachar College, Sri Sajalendu Daslaskar has been appointed as the new President of the Governing Body (GB) of GC College, Silchar. A letter to this effect was issued by Dharmakanta Mili, Director of Higher Education (DHE), Assam on Saturday.

Having close ties with the RSS, Sri Deblaskar retired from Cachar College in the year 2019. However, just before his retirement, he was appointed as the member of Assam Public Service Commission (APSC).

It needs mention here that the post of the President of Governing Body of GC College fell vacant after the sudden death of the then President Jyotilal Choudhury. Meanwhile, ACTA has expressed satisfaction over the appointment of an academician for the post of GB President of GC College.
