Rotary stands beside the poor & needy during lockdown

April 8: Just after the beginning of Lockdown on 25 March, Rotary Club of Silchar has started giving water, mask and hand gloves to the Police and Security personnel. This service is being continued till date. Rotary Club is also giving relief materials like rice, dal, salt, soyabeen, oil, hand santizers etc to the underprivileged section of the society. On Wednesday also, the club members distributed to the 160 santal labourers of Borsingha Tea Estate ration comprising of rice, dal, soyabeen, salt, oil, soap, water etc. This distribution of essential items among the needy will continue in the coming days also.

On Wednesday, Rotary Club of Greater Silchar handed over 60 lunch packets and drinking water bottles to the Superintendent of Civil Hospital for on duty medical staff. This will be continued for next seven days. Rotary Greater also handed over 100 masks and 200 hand gloves to the SM Dev Civil Hospital authority.
