Rotaract Club of SMCH honours COVID warriors

April 30: Under the UMEED 2.0 programme, members of Rotaract Club of Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) honoured the frontline COVID-19 warriors. They felicitated and appreciated the works of the Officer in-charge of various police station and outposts of Silchar. They distributed fruits, bread, milk, biscuits, drinking water, etc. to the on duty security personnel who are working day and night to maintain law & order amidst the ongoing lockdown.

In a separate programme under UMEED 2.0, Rotaract Club of SMCH also distributed food packets along with certificate of appreciation to 119 frontline warriors of COVID-19. These include doctors, police, guards, staff nurse, ward boys, Grade IV staff who were put under quarantine at various hotels of Silchar after serving COVID-19 patients.
