Rotaract Club of Assam University comes up with its new episode of ‘KalaKaushal’

Feb. 3: Adding wings to their project, Rotaract Club of Assam University (RAC) has now come up with its new episode of ‘KalaKaushal’ featuring Abhishek Dasgupta, a budding poet, who also takes keen interest in recitation.. The video premiered on the official channel of RAC Assam University on January 28, 2022 with Somdipto Chakrabarty, the community service director of RAC Assam University, as the host. It was edited by Shuvankar Chakraborty.

Abhishek Dasgupta is a student of Radhamadhab College, Silchar and is currently in 3rd semester. He started writing back in 2013, when he was in the 8th standard. In the interactive session, Abhishek spoke about how he sought inspiration to compose poems, and start recitation in public. Also, he mentioned the various ways to recite a poem in a more effective way during the session.

About the journey to compose and recite poems, Abhishek said, “I hail from an ordinary family. I have never seen anything, outside academics. I was never too good in studies, rather I was a average boy who performed mediocre results in the school examinations. I used to attend few cultural events in the school days, where I saw people performing songs, dance, recitation, etc. and it inspired me. However, it was my maternal uncle whose self-composed poetry recitation inspired me to start my journey.”

It needs mention here that Rotaract club of Assam University launched its YouTube channel, ‘RAC Assam University Silchar’ with a new project “KalaKaushal”. The club is thinking of growing its channel and asked all to look forward, specially the techno-enthusiasts, as they have some forthcoming projects which would be palatable to them. The Rotaract Club is an international organization mainly focusing on the development of young adults as leaders in their communities and workplaces.
