Rise in Covid cases among students & employees of Assam Univ, classes to be held online till 26 Jan

Jan. 16: In view of rise in reported COVID positive cases amongst students and employees of Assam University; fresh guidelines were issued by the Registrar on 16 January, 2022.

Guidelines:

1. All classes for all courses/ semesters shall be held in online mode upto 26 January, 2022. Reporting to University by teachers in offline mode/ physically during the period shall not be mandatory unless otherwise called by concerned HoD/ Dean/ Chairperson of Committee/ Registrar/ VC. However, Academic administrative heads (HoD/ Dean/ DSW/ Proctor/ Warden) were expected to attend office through offline mode.

2. All examinations during the period upto 26 January, 2022 shall remain postponed except already notified online examinations. Departments may reschedule the offline examinations in course of time. Sessional/ Internal/ Unit tests, if any, during the period may be held in online mode.

3. No visitors were permitted to enter the campus during the period without specific permission of respective statutory officers (HoD/ Dean/ CoE/ DSW/ Proctor etc). The permission, if any for entry shall be only for specific purpose.

4. Students who are not in regular roll; i.e those who are yet to pass but are not required to attend classes may be permitted to enter the campus only for specific purpose by respective statutory officers on submission of a written application seeking permission for the same.

5. Strict adherence to SoP of the State Government by all concerned is expected.
