Retd. Teacher of Physics Jagadish Chakraborty passes away

July 3: Eminent subject teacher of Physics, Jagadish Chakraborty breathed his last at 7.46 AM on Wednesday. He used to teach Physics at Adharchand Higher Secondary School, Silchar. He was 75. He is survived by his wife, a son who stays in USA and a daughter who is in Bangalore.

As per reports, Jagadish Chakraborty met with an accident on Tuesday night at around 10 near Silchar Metro Bazar. He was then admitted to SIlchar Medical College and Hospital. He, however, succumbed to his injuries just after 9 hours of the accident. He was in Bangalore and came along with his family to Silchar on last Monday.

Jagadish Chakraborty was a very popular teacher of Physics. He was loved by all for his simplicity and knowledge. After retiring from Adharchand HS School, he first joined Hemangini Dey Memorial Junior College and then shifted to Ramanuj Gupta Junior College, Silchar as a lecturer in Physics. His students are now well placed in various parts of the globe. His death was mourned by many of his students, colleagues and acquaintances.
