Reshuffle in Assam Police: Partha Pratim Das SDPO Lakhipur transferred

May 30: A major reshuffle in Assam Police took place on Sunday. In a notification issued by the Commissioner and Secretary to the home and political department, several Assam Police Service (APS) officers have been transferred.

Partha Pratim Das, APS, SDPO, Lakhipur, Cachar, Assam is transferred and posted as SDPO, Margherita. This APS officer, a few days ago was involved in a controversy wherein a doctor alleged that he was physically assaulted by the SDPO during Covid curfew. Later on, ADGP Assam sought apology on behalf of Assam Police.

Kulapradip Bhattacharjee, DSP Namrup is transferred and posted as SDPO Lakhipur.

Further, Kalyan Kumar Das, APS (DR-2015), DSP(DSBJ,Nagaon Assam is transferred and posted as DSP(HQ), Cachar. Also, Bhargav Sanjeevan Goswami, APS (DR-2016), Dy. Superintendent of Police (HQ), Cachar, Silchar, Assam is transferred and posted as ACP, Jalukbari.

Gitartha Dev Sarma, APS (DR2016), Dy. Superintendent of Police (HQ), Morigaon, Assam is transferred and posted as DSP(HQ), Karimganj. Nirmal Ghosh, APS (DR-2016), SDPO, Bhergaon, Udalguri, Assam is transferred and posted as DSP(B), Hailakandi.

Sudhanya Suklabaidya, APS (PR2017), Dy. Superintendent of Police (HQ), Karimganj, Assam is transferred and posted as DSP(B), Sonitpur.
