Relief distributed among 200 needy persons of Silchar Ward No 23

April 18: With a view of helping those in need during the ongoing national lockdown, essential food materials were distributed among the needy persons of Silchar Ward No.23. Silchar MP Dr. Rajdeep Roy and MLA Dilip Kumar Paul were also present during the distribution of the relief. The relief camp was basically organised by Tinku Paul, who is associated with Cachar District Swachha Bharat Aviyan along with Biswajit Das, Cachar District President of Virat Hindustan Sangam (VHS) and some other BJP members.

Around 200 families were given the essential food items which comprised of rice 4 kg, dal 600 gm, potato, soyabean, vegetables and biscuit. The relief camp became a success due to the active involvement of BJP members including Tinku Paul, Biswajit Das among others. The principle of social distancing was well maintained while distributing the aid.

Many people of Ward No.23 contributed generously out of which the relief materials were purchased and distributed. Those who made the contribution includes Advocate Ratnankur Bhattacharjee, Tulsi Paul, Rakhal Paul, Madhab Saha, Arnab Chakraborty, Joy Saha, Bachhu Ghosh, Uttam Paul, Panchu Paul, Abhijit Banerjee, Pankaj Banik, Pulak Choudhury, Naren Kumar among others.
