Rajnath Singh visits 316-bed dedicated Covid-19 hospital at Sarusajai
June 18: Union minister Rajnath Singh on Friday visited the COVID-19 dedicated hospital at Sarusajai in Guwahati. The DRDO and Assam Government has come up with 316 bed COVID Hospital in a record time. Praising the move, Rajnath Singh said, “This Hospital will help the state of Assam in its fight against the Pandemic.” He was accompanied during the visit to the Covid hospital by Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Taking to his twitter handle, Chief Minister Assam wrote, “We are grateful to Adarniya Raksha Mantri @rajnathsinghJi for terming it as a major achievement of GoA. The Sarusajai hospital is result of a very fine gesture by @DRDO_India and would go a long way in our fight against the pandemic. With guidance of Hon PM Sri @narendramodi & support of Central Government, Assam has led the battle against #COVID19 with full might. The 300-bed Covid Hospital at Sarusajaj is a fine example of Centre-state synergy. Adarniya RM @rajnathsinghji inspected this facility today.”
