45 tests Covid positive in Hailakandi on Friday, 1 death registered

Jan. 21: On Friday, Hailakandi registered 45 (44 RAT & 01 RT-PCR) new COVID-19 cases. The district has altogether has 491 active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 465 RAT tests and 29 RT-PCR tests were done. 69 patients were discharged during the day. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 8,991 (1st,  2nd & 3rd wave).

As of now, a total of 4,996 patients were discharged. It needs mention here that 97 persons were found positive in Hailakandi on Thursday. Till date, 54 persons died due to Covid-19 in Hailakandi district.  A total of 1,366 persons were vaccinated on Friday.

One person from Hailakandi died at Silchar Medical College & Hospital in last 24 hours. The deceased was identified as: Amal Rabidas (54) from Nityanandapur Part-II in Hailakandi district tested Covid positive and was admitted at SMCH on 14 January. The patient, however, breathed his last at 8.15 PM on 20 January, 2022.
