Quickobook, a Silchar based startup raises ₹1 cr fund, disbursed by Assam CM through NVCL
way2barak, Sept 8: Quickobook.com is a healthtech start up launched by Biswajit Paul from Silchar. It is on the best declared start up sharing the largest network across the northeast empanelled with 5000 plus doctors and lakhs of patients’ lives touched, claimed Biswajit Paul. The next round of Investment deal finalised from NVCL and got commitment from Govt of Assam for every sort of assistance and support.
Assam Chief Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday disbursed an amount of Rs.1 crore through NVCL. Informing this, founder of Quickobook, Biswajit Paul said, “We grabbed a deal from NVCL from 1Cr from 100 Cr fund and more 200 Cr with joint venture with SIDBI more is being announced for the Start Up community to flourish. Zerund was another one that too made it through.”
Narrating the journey of the Startup Quickobook, Its founder Biswajit Paul said, “One fine morning, I was asked to get an appointment with a doctor and stayed there for 3 hours and still was not able to make an appointment due to being limited seats and that gave rise to the idea to solve this appointment problem. This led me to develop a website/ application and started onboarding doctors in it and by two years, it started taking momentum. With time, Jewel Sen joined as a Co-Founder of Quickobook and we expanded into new verticals and currently delivers door step medicines at discounted prices, managing doctor appointments and lab appointments too.”
“Quickobook is a registered Start Up Company empanelled with 1200 plus doctors and have touched lives of more than 3 lakhs patients. Incubated by IIM Kolkata, Nasscom, IIT Guwahati, Assam Start Up Nest, Bengal Chamber of Commerce, we have raised 50 lakhs grants and 1.5 Cr investments from Angel Investors, Banks and NEDFI. Quickobook in total raised initial funding from Local Investor, next round from NVCL upto 2Cr on a valuation of 20cr that includes govt grants too,” added Biswajit Paul.
The Quickobook founded further stated, “Recently, we have launched surgery care assistance to Pan India and launched the same to metro cities very soon. We have collaborated with many reputed hospitals in the South, where usually people from Barak Valley go for treatment. But at present, we are assisting the patients to avail this service in Silchar and Guwahati. We will spend the money received in assisting surgery care. We will assign a person to assist such patients. In case of financial assistance for surgery patients, we have partnered with financial establishments and will be able to procure loans upto Rs.5 lakh within just 24 to 48 hours. Patients will not have to pay any amount to Quickobook for the services rendered by us.”
