Question paper of HS to include full syllabus, but multiple options will be given: AASU

Feb. 3: Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) has reduced the syllabus of HSLC Examinations, 2022 by 40 percent due to the disruption in regular classes as a result of the outbreak of the pandemic. Since then, there has been demands from the students to also reduce the course contents for those who would be appearing for the Higher Secondary Examinations, 2022 under Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC). Both the examinations are scheduled from 15 March, 2022.

Meanwhile, after attending a meeting with AHSEC officials, All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) General Secretary Sankarjyoti Baruah on Thursday said that this year the question paper for Higher Secondary examination has been set with 100% syllabus. He, however, added that the students need not worry as there would be multiple options/ alternative questions so that it becomes easier to answer.

Baruah said, “For example, if the question paper has 10 questions, then there will be another 10 questions and students can choose either one for the answer.” AASU also informed that they have demanded that AHSEC should conduct the ensuing HS Examinations by following Covid-19 protocols.
