Price of domestic gas cylinder hiked by ₹50
May 7: Price hike of essential commodities seems to have become the order of the day. The price of domestic cooking gas was hiked by ₹ 50 per cylinder on Saturday, the second increase in two months. The price hike comes days after the price of commercial LPG cylinders was hiked by ₹ 102.50 earlier this month. With the latest revision, a 14.2-kg non-subsidised cooking gas cylinder, also known as LPG cylinder, will now cost ₹ 999.50 in Delhi.
The hike has come at a time when people are still struggling to cope with the rising price of petrol and diesel across the country. The Congress hit out at the government over the price hike in domestic LPG cylinders. The party tweeted, “With prices of domestic LPG crossing Rs. 1000 and commercial LPG at Rs. 2355, how will the common person eat?”
