Shilpangan announces online art competition

March 30: In order to combat the spread of coronavirus, India at present is undergoing a 21-day lockdown till 14 March, 2020. As per orders of the government, none should come out of their houses unless compelled to do so. The lockdown phase has been a tough time, especially for the students. Keeping this in mind, ‘Shilpangan’, Silchar, a renowned institute of arts and crafts has organised an online art competition.

There will be no specific theme for the online art competition. There will be three groups. Group-A will comprise of students studying in Class V to VIII. Students of Class IX to XII will be in Group-B. Finally, Group-C will comprise of students who have already passed Higher Secondary. There will be no entry fees.

Those willing to participate were asked by Shilpangan to inbox their paintings in the Facebook of Sandipan Dutta Purkayastha or else can email their paintings to sdpurkayastha@gmail.com. The last date for sending entries is 15 April, 2020. The top three paintings in each group will be awarded certificates and trophy.

Speaking to way2barak, Principal of Shilpangan, Sandipan Dutta Purkayastha said, “The name of the winners will be announced in way2barak.com in the month of April 2020. All the participants must clearly mention their name, Parent’s Name, Address, Contact number, Name of the School. Please don’t forget to mention your Group. The top three paintings in each group will be displayed and published in the popular portal way2barak.”
