PM to campaign in Bengal, MP
way2barak, 7 April : With less than two weeks to go for the first phase of polling in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the campaign of all the contenders are in full swing, despite soaring temperatures across the country.
The ruling BJP’s biggest draw, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in North Bengal’s Jalpaiguri, campaigning for the incumbent party MP Jayanta Kumar Roy on Sunday.
PM Modi is kicking off the BJP’s campaign in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday by holding a roadshow in Jabalpur. The roadshow along the 1.2 km route will start from Shaheed Bhagat Singh crossing on Sunday evening and culminate at Adi Shankaracharya crossing in Gorakhpur locality of Jabalpur, according to BJP city president Prabhat Sahu.
Tribal troupes will perform the traditional dance during the roadshow, another leader said. This will be Modi’s first visit to MP after the announcement of the poll schedule by the EC on March 16.
