Petrol bomb hurled at BJP office in Shillong
January 7: Petrol bombs were hurled at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters at Shillong. The incident took place at around 11.20 in the night on Sunday. Unidentified miscreants hurled the bombs but no injuries have been reported except for damage of window panes of the office chamber of state BJP President Shibun Lyngdoh.
Stephan Rynjah, Police Super of Shillong said, “We were informed that the incident occurred at around 11.20 p.m on Sunday and a fire engine rushed and doused the flames.” Meanwhile, a team of forensic experts have collected samples and took possession of the CCTV footage capturing the incident. BJP legislator and Health Minister, AL Hek visited the party office and an FIR was lodged with police on Monday.
