মাস্ক নেই, মানছিল না ডিসট্যান্সিং, ১০জনকে ধরে পুলিশে দিলেন ডিসি

২৭ এপ্রিল : লকডাউন বিধি না মানার দরুন ১০জনকে ধরে পুলিশে দিলেন কাছাড়ের জেলাশাসক বর্ণালী শর্মা৷ এর মধ্যে ৬ জনই মহিলা৷ রবিবার বিকেলে শ্রীমতী শর্মা শিলচর শহর এলাকায় নিজে অভিযান চালান৷ বিভিন্ন স্থানে সামাজিক দূরত্ব বজায় না রেখে চলাফেরা এবং মাস্ক না পরার দরুন তাদের তিনি পুলিশের হাতে তুলে দেন৷ পুলিশ তাদের বিরুদ্ধে জরিমানা সহ আইন অনুসারে ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করে৷

জেলাশাসক যাদের পুলিশের হাতে তুলে দেন তাদের মধ্যে একজন পিডব্লিউডি রোডের, একজন চানমারি রোডের, চারজন চেনকুড়ি রোডের, তিনজন তারাপুরের এবং একজন আশ্রম রোডের‌৷ শ্রীমতি শর্মা জানান, লক ডাউনের সময় একান্ত প্রয়োজন না হলে কেউ যাতে ঘর থেকে না বের হন এবং প্রয়োজনে ঘর থেকে বের হলেও সামাজিক দূরত্ব বজায় রাখা সহ মাস্ক অবশ্যই পরিধান করা জরুরি৷ অন্যথায় আইন অনুসারে যথাযথ ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে l

April 27: Deputy Commissioner,Cachar, Barnali Sharma conducted raid in Silchar town on Sunday afternoon and found a group of men & women at their thirties loitering in the streets without any valid reasons and that too without using face masks. She also saw them violating the norms of social distancing. She then noticed that the salesmen of medicine shops at two places were selling medicines without using masks and gloves to their customers.

The Deputy Commissioner immediately called the police personnel from the nearest police outpost and handed over them to the police. They were arrested by the police and later they were taken in to remand. Action was initiated against them in accordance with the law,  fines were also imposed on them for non compliance of the government guidelines during COVID-19 period.

It is in this backdrop that the Deputy Commissioner reiterated that it is important to wear a mask and maintain social distancing at all levels, She urged all not to come out of their house unless it is absolutely necessary during the lockdown period and strictly adhere the government guidelines. She further stated that non- compliance of the government directions, will invite action against them as per section 51(b) of Disaster Management Act, 2005.
