Paid vaccination drive for both Covaxin & Covishield going on at Apollo Diagnostics, Silchar

July 16: Amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the way out now is to get vaccinated and observance of Covid appropriate behaviour. As per the vaccination policy of the Union government, Vaccination drive is conducted both at government and private centres. In Silchar, Apollo Hospitals Information Centre ( Apollo Diagnostics Lab,  Silchar) has been involved in offering Covid-19 vaccines to the people on payment basis as per the rates stipulated by the government. Infact, Apollo Diagnostics Lab, Silchar have started paid vaccination drive from 30 June, 2021.

Informing about this, the in-charge of  Apollo Diagnostics Lab, Silchar stated that both Covishield and Covaxin vaccines are available with them and no prior slot booking is required. They are providing the jab through on spot registration. Further, it was informed that Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) is not mandatory prior to vaccination. The rates for per dose of the Covid-19 vaccines at Apollo are:

• Covishield – Rs.780 (per dose)
• Covaxin – Rs. 1410 (per dose)
• Sputnik V – Rs. 1145 (per dose.. presently unavailable, but will be available soon)

Apart from this, facility for Covid spike protein antibody test is also available at Apollo Diagnostics Lab, Silchar. This test can be done in their lab after 14 days of being vaccinated in order to check vaccine antibody. Apollo Diagnostics Lab is situated opposite to Tata Surana Motors, Meherpur Road, Silchar.
