Out of 28,993 tests done on Thursday, 2091 found +ve in Assam; 11 deaths registered
Active cases 32,262 in Assam
Sept. 24: On Thursday, a total of 28,993 tests were done in the state, out of which, 2,091 were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of novel coronavirus has now gone upto 1,65,582, out of which 32,262 are active cases. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 2091 #COVID cases detected today out of 28993 tests. Positivity Rate- 7.21% Kamrup M- 452; Jorhat- 191; Dibrugarh- 136; Golaghat- 127.”
Further, during the day, another 11 persons died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 608.
