Out of 28,301 tests done on Friday, 1416 found +ve in Assam; 10 deaths registered

Oct. 2: On Friday, 1416 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now reached 1,83,812, out of which, 35,569 are active cases. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 1416 #COVID cases detected out of 28301 tests today. Positivity Rate for the day- 5% Kamrup M- 445; Jorhat- 110; Dibrugarh- 103; Golaghat- 101.”

Further, during the day, 10 more persons lost their lives due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 721
