Out of 25,831 tests done on Saturday, 1736 found +ve in Assam; 13 deaths registered

Sept. 26: On Saturday, a  total of 25,831 tests were done in the state, out of which, 1736 were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of novel coronavirus has now gone upto 1,69,110, out of which 31,757 are active cases. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 1736 #COVID cases detected today out of 25831 tests. Positivity Rate- 6.72% Kamrup M- 397; Jorhat- 145; Dibrugarh- 130.”

Further, during the day, another 13 persons died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 638.
