On NRC duty BSF Jawan shoots self at Karimganj

October 14: In a shocking incident, a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan belonging to 11 Batallion allegedly shot himself with his service pistol at Rangamati area of Karimganj district on Monday. The BSF jawan who hails from Haryana deployed on National Register of Citizens(NRC) duty.

The BSF jawan died on the spot. He has been identified as Khushid Ahmed. Investigation is on as to ascertain the cause behind the jawan shooting himself while on NRC duty.
