No station leave to be granted to central, state & PSU employees without prior permission of DC Cachar
March 19: The outbreak of Novel Corona virus (COVID-19) is a potential threat to the human life and measures are being taken by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) to create awareness amongst the general public and to contain the entry & spread of the virus in the district.
Health department with the support of the district police and other concerned departments, agencies is conducting health screening of all the visitors, tourist, commuters and general public entering the district through airways, roadways and railways.
As a part of preventive measures, mitigation steps are required by the concerned departments for containing the spread of virus and loss of lives in the district. Considering the gravity of the situation and in the greater interest of public, an order has been issued by the District Administration Cachar mentioning the officers of concerned Departments (state, central government, Public sector undertaking) under cachar District are directed not to leave head quarters without prior permission of the Deputy Commissioner, Cachar.
Further, it was also stated that all heads of office are also directed to cancel the leave, if any employees of the department are on leave till date immediately. This was stated in a press release issued from Regional Office of Information and Public Relations, Barak Zone Assam.
